Choose the program thats right for your child!

The kids program is structured so that the children have appropriate techniques and movements for their stage of development. Our philosophy of Jiu Jitsu is similar to many traditional martial arts; respect, perseverance, resilience, discipline and self confidence and we also believe in making classes enjoyable. If people enjoy what they are doing they will return, and that is the key to Jiu Jitsu, keep coming to class. The ages for each of the kids programs have been overlapped to allow the child to feel comfortable in the appropriate class. Children vary greatly, physically and mentally and they will eventually transition to the next age program as their skill and confidence level increases.

This class is focused on learning techniques and lots of repetitions. The children will be learning similar techniques to the adults class however there is a large focus on self defence and “anti bullying” at this stage. Students will be placed in many common bullying situations and given strategies and techniques to deal with them.

Teens (10-17)

The aim of this class is to transition the teenagers into the adults class. The class will have a focus on the fundamentals of Jiu Jitsu and self defence. As the students progress through the program, they will be encouraged to attend one adult class a week but continue training with their peers.
